The History of Opera on Zoom presented by Don Dagenais

Understanding Hindu Belief Through Art on Zoom presented by Marcella Sirhandi

In the course of six meetings we will look at sculptures and archaeological ruins from the Indus Valley in present- day Pakistan to explore the origin of Hindu belief, its earliest sacred texts (the four Vedas) and the evolution of varna (the cast system). Learn more and enroll!

Modern Japan on Zoom presented by Carol McCavitt

This semester we’ll transition from examining China’s relationship with her Asian neighbors to studying Japan’s miraculous recovery after World War II. Today, Japan is our closest ally in Asia. According to the US State Department, the American-Japanese relationship is regarded as “the cornerstone of US security interests in Asia and fundamental to regional stability and prosperity.” How did this happen?
